Word of the Day
Hello Word Lovers!
Whether you are a teacher trying to get kids to enjoy vocabulary a little more, a history buff like myself, or just trying to learn a little something new every day, I’ve got something for you!
Word of the Day is a video series that uses fun and true stories from history to teach new words. Umm… That’s about it. I guess it doesn’t sound as cool on paper. Just watch it, people seem to like it quite a bit.
Now, I had started to create a page on here with ALL of the videos listed with ready links to watch them. Then I came across this cool video site called YouTube (maybe you’ve heard of it). And it turns out they’re willing to post all of my videos in a nice orderly fashion for free! So you can check that out here:
“But Lance, wait! I’m a teacher and I want to have my videos available offline so I don’t have to queue up a YouTube video and ad every time I have to show a video. I also don’t want to have to listen to your boring pitch for your books at the end!”
“I guess a little, but not much. Seriously, a teacher’s salary doesn’t cover much.”
That’s fair. I’ll put together some classroom videos and throw in some writing prompts and quizzes and such. I know how you teachers love quizzes.
“Ya, not as much as you’d think, but I suppose that would be useful. Thanks. How do I get them?”
I’ll put them on TPT. Link to TPT store…
“Not so fast, what if I pay actual money for these things and you’re actually lousy?”
Also a good point. I’ll tell you what, I’ll make one bundle free. Then you can check it out and get more if they work for you. Here’s a link to the free bundle: Link to free Bundle #1

“Ok, I will grudgingly admit that those are pretty entertaining and useful. But I don’t want to purchase and download one video at a time a hundred times over! Besides, I think I should get some sort of price break if I’m buying in bulk.”
Dang. The last time I got haggled this hard I was trying to buy potatoes from an old Ukrainian woman. Fine, I’ll make big bundles that come with a price break. Here’s a link to those: Link to Mega Bundles…
“Thanks! And would mind coming and talking to my students about…”
That’s a different page.
